Hi, We�re expanding the FASHION inside Gothic Beauty and looking for at least 3 more writers to join the team. We�re looking for writers very experienced in make-up, fashion, diy, and interior decorating in the goth scene. Those interested in writing for Gothic Beauty need to send email to [email protected] with a brief introduction of who you are and what you have to offer. Also include any writing samples you may have and references. All writers in Gothic Beauty get compensation either by some sort of trade, cash, or combination of both.

More good news follows: Gothic Beauty is currently in about 850 retail locations world-wide (majority of which are inside the USA). This week, we got offered a new distribution deal that will effectively, at least, DOUBLE the retail locations to over 1,700! Starting in about a month or so, Gothic Beauty will be available in the following NEW stores:

This new deal also will increase the circulation of Gothic Beauty by a few thousand at the very least (if not double the current circulation). The current ad rates for Issue #10 do not include the new distribution and we will keep the rates the same just for 10. The advertising rates will increase starting with #11. We are pleased to announce an advertising promotion of getting 3 consecutive ads in GB (issues 10, 11, 12) for the price of just 2 at the issue 10 rate!!! If you can act now to reserve and pay for the ads upfront, this will save you hundreds of dollars in the long run. This promotion is good for ads sized page and larger (color or B/W). Also, a TV Producer for the Sci-Fi channel contacted us. They have asked for our help to find a �Vampire� to be in a new reality show. From the Producer:

�We are scouring the country to put together a group of outrageous, eccentric, and entertaining individuals who live very alternative lifestyles. This core cast will be known as The Alts. Like royalty, The Alts will live in and reign over a mansion called Alt Manor. They will get their chance to showcase their lifestyle and demonstrate their special skills to America, but The Alts biggest responsibility will be to choose a winner from among 12 �Joe Normal� contestants who will dare to come live with them at Alt Manor.�

One of the six unique categories they�d like to fill is the Vampire category for one of The Alts. If you�d like to be referred to by Gothic Beauty as the Vampire Alt, send email to [email protected] and tell him about yourself. The Vampire Alt needs to be a genuine �creature of the night� that looks, dresses, and lives the part 24 hours a day.

Within a few days, Steven Holiday will refer one individual to the show�s producer for the Vampire Alt part.

The master release schedule for Gothic Beauty has changed in light of the events last week. May 15th will be the Official release date for #9. Every 3 months thereafter a new GB will be released (#10, August 15, #11 November 15, #12 February 15).

Lady Vaduva asked a good thing and i'll clarify that this is a beautiful glossy magazine, legit in all ways, many of my friends have been in it and some write for it already... It is still new and growing and very worthwhile getting involved in and once you see your stuff in print you'll be very proud! also if they present a TV opportunity its real, non of this netherworldly stuff that you have no idea if its real or if they are going to rip you off.. so apply away and break a pencil and a leg!
