Yes being new to the review world here i am finding probably what others already know. the level of review skill is very lacking in many- i am 2 for 2, they don't seem to really want to review the diaries they get- so why volunteer for this "job"? then when you visit to see what their diary looks like its the kind you would not visit for its lack of interesting content. well like i said about the other review, its one person's opinion, as it turns out the kind of person whose opinion does not make any difference to me, its actually fun to get them, even negative ones. i was hoping, i suppose- someone who would really dig in, be a challenge, not bored/boring- wonder things, point out things that would help or be of interest that i never noticed or would dream of... but i suppose one of the complaints is they are all "kids". thats not fair to say really because i have run into "kids" who are amazing, thoughtful people who put a lot of care into things- i suppose thats why you put in for reviews... to see if someone will stand-out, be a great surprise, negative review or not- i'd love to read something and go "wow (or even *ouch!*)- now thats a great observation! i never would have thought that, never would have seen that..". currently i get the feeling my last two reviews have been by people who are just checking off their "to-do" lists. So why don't i just shut-up and do reviews myself? because the same care and time i feel i put into this i also put into all the other things i do in my life- and i don't have the time to do great reviewing. and i know this, thats why i wouldn't volunteer to do it.

I'd say to continue to read the in-depth reviews at Diaryland Reviews, mine there also sucked but its not a reflection on the other writers there- who in general are good and seem to care about what they do..
