today the warm water out of the faucet was taupe (fancy word for light BROWN) and it reminded me of my favorite light brown story -i think, if we all look deep inside, we all have a favorite color story- The DeBeers brothers were the gods of diamonds (the family still is the largest) and they had gorgeous flawless diamonds whose only "flaw" was that they were light to darker brown. No one wanted brown dirty water colored diamonds.. so they mounted the jewels in lovely rings and bracelets and made millions by selling them as.. *ta-da* "champagne" and "cognac" Diamonds. A rose might still be a rose even called a skunk weed but a diamond who is brown will be never be loved until its transformed when called "champagne". now a vintage and modern piece in champagne will cost you more than some ol' clear thing :) read here about all the fancy-schmancy colors a diamond can be...
about my water.. i just took my vitamins with chocolate silk soy milk mm mm good. no seriously it was good... and now the water is no longer champagne, but clear leau'TAP. now for another wonderful color mention- massive ominous grey and dark blue/black clouds were rolling fast over NYC taking over the friendly skies and it was amazing- come here big grey cloud! I love you! it was like a scene in a movie where the evil, whatever the evil is, comes to town and brings with it fabulous stormy weather. the speed was intense, the world went dark, the wind whipped like a whirling dervish and i was so happy. people actually looked scared, and why not- it was scary, i loved it. then we tamed it by going to eat dinner in a cozy dimly lit place and watched it out the window whipping things around. then later back out into it again with the dogs, walking, their fur blowing the opposite way of the "doggy grain". they looked fluffy and cute. i love wild stormy weather, especially when it shakes the windows. i lie in bed in the dark and listen to it howl. current mood: sleepy
