what a nice sweet little thing- i am the featured site at top 100 diaryland diaries. sure all of you ol' pros probably have been it 100's of time but me, well, like i said- a nice sweet little thing to see :)
another sweet surprise, but on a sad subject.. you must see "The Pianist". if Adrien Brody wins an award for this that means there is hope for hollywood. i hope he continues to be great like this for a long long time. he does have another film coming out- i know this because my best friend rick is working on it currently with another friend. he's a very different character now- the film is done and its just music now... but he's an insecure kind of person playing opposite milla jovavitch (probably spelled that wrong) but i like her- but adrien was a great surprise. such a sad expressive face, his eyes are the best. well before i sound like a gooshy teenie (probably too late) go and see this man work.
of course the subject matter of "the pianist" will be hard for some to face- it is violent and dark... but from a time in history we can never forget.. should never forget.
the theater experience was a different story- the film started 45 mins late- probably some kind of screw up in time listings because people were still arriving even after 11pm. there were giggly girls there squeaking whenever they saw this one mouse running around collecting popcorn pieces on the ground. it was funny because this was a very nice theater- so you don't expect the mice types to frequent it.. but it was two levels below street level so the fellows probably just slipped in from the netherworld under NYC to do some snack food collecting. the girls were saying they were going to tell somebody to trap it and i said no leave him alone! they said mice were gross and i said i have one as a pet, rescued from my cats pinkie fangie mouths. this seemed to shock them.
well all the funny stuff stopped when the movie finally started, then everyone who was friendly before, left the theater in silence afterward.. well you can't really go on joking after seeing something like that. rick fell alsleep once but didn't miss anything significant. Roman Polanski for all his faults has an amazing talent for directing. Tess is one of my favorite films. that he was married to Sharon Tate always amazes me. how did he go on from that horror? (she was killed by charles manson's freaks- her baby too- she was pregnant with their child). that house has now been torn down and good riddance.
now all the cats and dogs are settling down to sleep and they always make me sleepy looking at them. well and its 4:30 am EST.. i guess i should be sleepy.
