well wasn' t that fun. kerrang screwed up, anyway it always makes me look competent to provide other people's screw ups to be discovered..
on another note..hmm was pretty disgusted to hear peter gabriel's "solsbury hill" being done by some dork trying to look like a bleached out shane from uranium 235, and not even as good looking in that weird androgynous way. the music behind the silly vocals sounded like a machine trying to say "do-do-do" over and over again. well i am sure some people like it. the song is to me, one of the 5 (7 total with two in a kinda netherworld) best songs ever written. don't ask me what the others are because it won't make sense to you. the best songs to me are the ones that can take you away to literally another mind-set, another mood no matter where in your head you are, no matter how dark and damaged or happy and creepy- these songs change me everytime- instantly. i can't explain why- some are old, maybe it was some baby moment i don't remember- so its partly about the music, partly about life as it was when it first sang to me, partly how good the song is... so thats why it won't make sense to anyone but me. re-makes never do the same thing- one other song on the list was re-done, crappy as well. anyway to explain it won't be of any use.. You weren't there in that moment, hell i wasn't "there" probably, some of it is subconcious i am sure.. but damn, solsbury hill, so good, so wonderous. i guess i hoped it was obscure enough to not have to hear it mangled like the other one.
well. i sound cranky and crabby tonight, i guess i don't like it when people who should know better screw up and i will inevitably be wrangled in to the incompetent circle of blame LOL. well well well, its the chance you take for something worth the risk. music is all to me, let me make a fool of myself for it over and over, i don't care. :) but i am in a:
current mood: of feeling stressed
