i am the child of the wasteland....a land of haunted houses and monsters i call father. dark talents run in the family, but i shatter the glass to let the moonlight in, not to destroy something fragile for the feeling of breaking beneath my fists. all i can do is scream, crawl out, and keep screaming. but i can hold the sparrow, mend its wing... i am the spring rain and the hurricane... the monsters cower now, not me, not you. *xn*

Helping this man who always helps established but not major, and up-and-coming bands will make you feel all warm and fuzzy like this:

now go get cuddly... then you may go back to work...

Now until ONLY February 16, 2003.

The Shape of Things to Come, the only Prime Time, Sunday Evening Radio show that plays "dark" music needs your help to stay on the air. If you've ever listened to the show, you know that TSOTTC supports the scene by playing music and interviewing artists you won't hear anywhere else on the airwaves. Since, The Shape of Things to Come does not accept paid advertising, the only way the show stays on the air is through listeners like you.

Each WFDU show is judged on how well they do during pledge drives. In the past, formats and shows that have not received a their share of pledges, have lost hours or, worse, got cancelled. Thanks to donations from people like you, last year you helped the show raised $6000 (which set a new station record for an alternative format show). We were also moved to Sunday evenings, which is a better time for many of our listeners.

What would your pledge of $5 or more mean to The Shape of Things to Come? Your voice would be added to the chorus of fellow supporters who say that this music is important to them and that it deserves to be heard. You would be saying to 'the powers that be' at the radio station, that you are willing and proud to give some of your hard-earned money to keep this music and The Shape of Things to Come on the air, where they belong. Your pledge, of any amount, is YOUR VOTE, YOUR VOICE and the surest way to send a signal to those who would rather air music that sucks.

PLEASE HELP KEEP US ON THE AIR! Any amount of money that you can pledge will be helpful and appreciated.

Here's how to pledge:

Pledge Method 1: This is the best method. Call the radio station at 201-692-2012 when TSOTTC is live on wfdu (Sunday 6pm to 9pm EST) and tell the person that answers the phone, that you want to pledge support to The Shape of Things to Come. Give them your name and address. We'll send you a return envelope that you can put your check or money order in.

Pledge Method 2: Email me, theonebob @ aol.com and include your name, address and the amount you would like to pledge.

Everyone who pledges get a 2003 The Shape of Things to Come fridge magnet (designed by Spinmistress Batty)
